About VDM

VDM starts from a simple idea: every lure should justify each material and every construction decision.

I design, make and test my models in small batches. Handmade production is not an excuse for two units to perform differently; it is how I keep control over balance, rigging and finish.

My approach

  • Materials with a purpose. Every component is chosen for what it contributes to the lure, not to fill a specification sheet.
  • Testing before promises. I assess behaviour in the water, durability and ease of use before considering a product finished.
  • Accessible quality. I aim for careful construction and a fair price, without turning handmade production into a claim of exclusivity.
  • Continuous improvement. I document what I learn and apply those changes to the next batches.

How to read the catalogue

Available means the product has passed my tests and has real stock. In development identifies a model that can still change and is not for sale. Development archive keeps earlier prototypes to show the project’s evolution without confusing them with the current product.

When you choose a VDM lure, I want you to understand what you are buying, why it is built that way and what you can expect from it in the water.
