Manga is a rigid-bodied Egi/Potera (squid jig) designed for strong current, mixed or sandy bottoms, and deeper water.

In size 2.5 and at 15 g, it combines a compact profile with a fast sink rate. It is designed for squid and cuttlefish fishing, especially when activity is high and conditions call for a small, heavy presentation.

Its unwrapped construction uses a fixed stainless-steel front ring and stainless-steel crown hooks built around a fibreglass rod core.

For squid, fish it with eging lifts and a more active retrieve. For cuttlefish, let it reach the bottom, alternate long pauses and make gentle drags across the seabed.

Manga is the former Eging Master V1. It belongs to VDM’s development process and is recorded as a first development version: a functional prototype used to test construction, weight, sink rate and real fishing use before the model evolved.

Basilisk V1 is a surface walker developed by VDM for seabass fishing.

At 90 mm and 14 g, with a walking-the-dog action, it can be worked in different ways: with rod-tip movements, pauses, or a combination of both according to sea conditions and fish activity.

Its construction includes a 3D-printed body, a stainless-steel through-wire core, and size 6 hooks.

Basilisk V1 is part of VDM’s development process. It was tested during several fishing sessions, with one recorded strike but no landed fish. Following these tests, the model is documented as a first development version and will not be manufactured again. Its evolution will continue in a new version with entirely different construction and components.
